A: Though we do not provide a full list of the 1,200+ career professionals in our speaker network, we do have a Curriculum to Career Catalog: a summary of all of the career industries our speakers represent and the major areas of study that relate to each industry. In this Catalog, you’ll find an illustrative list of speakers in each industry to give you a taste of the vast variety of careers our speakers represent!
A: Whether your school is fully virtual, hybrid, or together in person, we are able to coordinate flashchats! DreamWakers can accommodate any platform you prefer or are required to use. Our flashchats are successful on any conferencing platform (e.g. Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and more).
In the classroom, we ask that you have a large screen and audio speakers so students can see and hear their guest, in addition to a “hot seat” where students will sit to ask questions directly in front of the webcam and microphone. We will work with you and your guest speaker to make sure the technology is ready to go.
A: Our goal is to make the flashchat process as seamless and easy as it can be. Our Flashchat Request Form (which you will be able to access after filling out the Educator Interest Form), captures the important information about your class. We do all the work of matching you with a great speaker! We provide you with their bio and a list of sample questions (linked above) to get students curious and encourage you to spend some time preparing unique questions for your speaker. From there, it is as easy as clicking the video chat link and facilitating student participation!
